The Most Important Decision You'll Make Today.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Richmond Web Services LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with craborskrimp.com (the "Site"). It describes the game as currently operated; it will be updated if material data practices or third-party services change.
1. Information We Collect and Process
The game does not require a user account. If a player submits a qualifying leaderboard score, the Site receives the three-character tag the player enters and the associated score. Do not use a real name or submit information about yourself or another person in a tag.
2. Personal-Best Score in Browser Storage
The game uses browser local storage to remember a numeric personal-best score on the device or browser where the game is played. This value is a gameplay preference/progress value; the game does not attach a name, email address, or account ID to it. Clearing the browser's site data may remove the stored value.
3. Public Leaderboard Tags and Scores
The Site maintains a public leaderboard of up to ten qualifying three-character tags and scores. Displayed entries can be viewed by other visitors. An entry may remain displayed until it is displaced by a higher qualifying score or removed by the Site operator. Inappropriate tags may be rejected; the filter is intended to catch selected exact three-letter combinations and cannot detect every possible misuse.
4. Hosting Logs and Technical Information
The hosting provider may process standard technical information needed to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Site. Server or security logs can include information such as IP address, requested URL, referring page, request time, browser or device user-agent, and error details. The precise log fields and retention period depend on the hosting environment and its settings; we do not control every aspect of the hosting provider's independent infrastructure logs.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
As of the last-updated date above, the game does not use Google Analytics or Google AdSense scripts, and advertising is disabled. The game uses browser local storage for the personal-best score described above. We do not intentionally set nonessential first-party tracking cookies for the game. If analytics, advertising, or other tracking services are introduced, this Policy will be revised to describe the actual services and relevant choices.
6. How Information Is Used and Shared
Leaderboard tags and scores are used to operate and display the public arcade leaderboard and to help reject abusive submissions. Browser-stored personal-best information is used to display the player's best score on that browser. Technical information may be processed to operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.
Information may be processed by service providers involved in hosting and delivering the Site. The Site also provides links to an external merchandise store and an email contact link. If you follow an external link or send an email, the relevant third-party service or email provider will process information under its own policies. The merchandise store is linked externally rather than embedded as an account or checkout function in the game.
7. Data Retention
The leaderboard file retains the current top-ten qualifying entries; entries can be displaced by higher qualifying scores or removed by the Site operator. The personal-best score is stored in the player's browser until it is cleared or overwritten. Hosting logs may be retained under the hosting provider's policies and configuration. We do not claim control over the retention period of logs maintained independently by the hosting provider.
8. Choices and Privacy Requests
You can clear local storage or site data through your browser settings to remove the locally stored personal-best score. If you believe a leaderboard tag or score exposes personal information, or if you have a privacy question, contact us using the address below. We will review the request and take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law and the Site's technical records.
9. Children's Privacy
Crab or Skrimp is intended as a general-audience entertainment game and is not specifically directed to children under 13. The game does not ask players to provide their names, email addresses, school names, or other identifying details to play or submit a leaderboard score. Players should not include personal information in tags. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in circumstances where additional steps are required by applicable law, we will review the matter and take appropriate steps as required, which may include removing the information.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures intended to protect the Site and its stored leaderboard data. No website, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Third-Party Sites and Services
The external store and email provider are governed by their own privacy notices when you choose to use them. We encourage you to review the applicable third-party policies. This Policy does not describe independent practices of services that are not operated by us.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy as the Site changes. The "Last updated" date above will be revised when appropriate. Material additions such as analytics or advertising will be assessed and documented before being enabled.
